Upside Foods recently purchased Cultured Decadence, a company working to cultivate Maine lobster meat from cells. Upside Foods is currently seeking FDA approval to introduce its chicken to U.S. consumers and has developed other meats including duck and beef. Lobster is a welcome addition to their portfolio given the current sustainability of the product. With this new acquisition, Upside Foods hopes to reduce the time to produce lobster meat from 8 years to just 8 weeks.
