MeaTech’s Peace of Meat to Build Cultivated Meat Plant in Belgium

Israeli 3D meat printing company MeaTech is building a 21,530 sq ft cultivated meat pilot plant in Belgium for its subsidiary Peace of Meat. Peace of Meat is a leading developer of cultivated fat products including chicken, cow, and geese. MeaTech CEO Arik Kaufman believes cultivated animal fat can bring “signature flavors, aromas, and textures” to cultivated meats. MeaTech is the world’s first publicly traded cultivated meat producer and has 3D printed the world’s largest cultivated steak. This pilot plant is the latest in the company’s plans to bring cultivated products to the market.
