GOOD Meat’s parent company Eat Just has announced a $25 million partnership with an Alibaba-backed private equity firm. The company says this alliance will benefit its sales, consumer insights, regulatory approvals, and more in the Chinese market. Eat Just launched in China three years ago with its plant-based egg and seeks to expand commercialization of its subsidiary’s cultivated meat beyond Singapore. The Chinese Ministry of Agriculture recently included cultivated meat in its Five Year Agricultural Plan, marking a first for the country.
