UPSIDE Foods announced a biological breakthrough: the nutrient-rich broth it uses to feed cells to produce cultivated meat is now 100% ‘animal component free,’ thus eliminating the need of any animal components. UPSIDE Foods claims to be the first company to achieve this biological milestone.
