SpaceX Crew Dragon is set to launch for the International Space Station (ISS) this Wednesday, April 6, with Aleph Farms’ cultivated meat experiment onboard. This experiment is a step towards developing an automated, closed-loop system capable of providing critical nutrients needed for long-term space missions, like those required to reach Mars. The results of this experiment can be applied to cultivated meat production on Earth to help develop a sustainable and resilient food source for the growing population.
