Netherland’s House of Representatives passed a motion to legalize public tastings of cultivated meat in the country. The world’s first cultivated meat hamburger was produced in 2013 by Dutch company Mosa Meat, leading the Netherlands to be seen as the birthplace of this food innovation. Dutch politicians, Mosa Meat, and others celebrated the move as the latest step towards legalizing the sale of cultivated meat in the country.
