Japan Develops Country’s First Cultivated Meat

A research group at the University of Tokyo teamed up with Nissin Foods, maker of Top Ramen and Cup Noodles, to develop Japan’s first edible cultivated meat. This initiative is part of Nissin’s Earth Food Challenge 2030, an environmental strategy for developing a sustainable strategy while increasing the company’s value. The partnership aims to develop a cultivated steak by March 2025.
