Coming soon: cultivated meat and plant-based protein hybrids

While sales of plant-based foods continue to soar, meat sales are also increasing, prompting industry experts to question whether meat-eaters are content with the plant-based protein options currently available. Citing improved taste and cleaner nutrition labels, experts believe that alternative protein blends comprised of cell-based and plant-based ingredients could be the first cultivated protein to market capable of satisfying the surging demand for meat.
