Dozens of companies enter cultivated meat market to fulfill growing demand

As the global demand for meat continues to increase rapidly, so does the popularity of cultivated meat products. Since 2015, dozens of companies across the globe have entered the cell-based meat production space, producing cultured beef, chicken, duck, pork, seafood, and even milk replicants. And the vast majority of consumers support the process referred to as a “feat of science,” with upwards of 83% of those polled expressing interest in cultured meat.
