As the global demand for meat continues to increase rapidly, so does the popularity of cultured meat products. Since 2015, dozens of companies across the globe have entered the cell-based meat production space, producing cultured beef, chicken, duck, pork, seafood, and even milk replicants. And the vast majority of consumers support the process referred to as a “feat of science,” with upwards of 83% of those polled expressing interest in cultured meat.
