Shanghai-based startup CellX announced it has closed a $4.3M funding

The $4.3 million round, led by prominent Chinese investors ZhenFund, will go towards advancing CellX’s ongoing R&D and expansion, aiming to bring sustainable cultivated meat to Chinese consumers. This is a monumental step toward food sustainability and carbon reduction given that over half of the global pork supply is consumed in China.
