Germany-based cultivated meat company Bluu Seafood has unveiled its first products including cultivated fish sticks from atlantic salmon, rainbow trout and carp. Bluu Seafood, formerly Bluu Biosciences, was the first European company to specialize in seafood. Earlier this year the company partnered with Shanghai-based CellX to overcome challenges with sourcing, scaling, and regulatory approvals, in addition to promoting consumer acceptance of cultivated meat. Next year Bluu Seafood will seek regulatory approval of their products in Singapore, the only country to approve for cultivated meat so far.
